Assessments: Students are assessed by completing the web quest and answering the questions as well as drawing and illustrating a diagram of the rock cycle
Student Outcomes (Exemplars): Students are introduced to the rock cycle and the processes
Procedure: Students will use a computer to view the diagrams and videos about the rock cycle. They will then complete the rock cycle web quest by clicking on the category and answering the questions that follow in their notebook
Instructional Modifications: This site can be used to introduce the rock cycle and its processes
Time Required: The time required varies depending on time allotted to complete the videos and the web quest. 3-4 class periods
Resources (materials): Computer with internet access. Optional: Smartboard or projector for computer.
Reflections: This is an engaging and interactive way to incorporate technology to learn about the rock cycle.
